Have you digested the cassoulet from the giant banquet held in May? This autumn, Toulouse is gearing up for an extraordinary culinary experience. On November 14 and 15, 2025, the Grand Marché du MIN in Toulouse will be the setting for Aligofest, an XXL party dedicated to the mythical aligot-saucisse. The aim is ambitious: to gather well over 5,000 gourmets around long tables to beat a world record. Organized by Toulouse Olympique XIII, the event will combine food, music with bandas and a DJ set. And because Aligofest doesn’t pretend, there will also be rugby match broadcasts on giant screens to ensure a festive and convivial weekend for the whole family. We tell you all about it.
A XXXL aligot-saucisse banquet
Break out the extra-large pants! For 2 non-stop days, brave souls will be able to enjoy this all-you-can-eat dish, a symbol of conviviality. The Aligofest principle is simple yet impressive: each portion of aligot-saucisse eaten is counted in real time and displayed on giant screens.
Local food lovers rest assured. The aligot is prepared by the caterer “Aux Saveurs de l’Aubrac”, and the sausage comes from the “Boucherie des Copains”. This gourmet festival also promises entertainment for young and old: bandas, DJ sets, sports broadcasts, rugby initiations… There will even be pétanque matches to punctuate this warm and festive weekend. This first edition promises to be a not-to-be-missed event, and could well become an annual fixture in Toulouse!

Victim of its own success, Aligofest 2025 changes venue and dates
As you may have guessed,Aligofest isn’t just a banquet. This XXL event brings together local bandas and DJ sets to liven up the three-day festival. Giant screens will enable participants to follow the record’s progress live, and the broadcast of the French rugby team’s match on Saturday November 15, 2025 on a giant screen. Children and families will be welcomed with dedicated activities, creating an intergenerational moment combining sport, culture and gastronomy.
Due to its spectacular success, which far exceeded initial forecasts of 5,000 participants, Aligofest, Toulouse’s first major aligot-saucisse banquet, has been forced to relocate to accommodate the much larger-than-anticipated attendance. Initially scheduled to take place at the Stade Arnauné in the Minimes district, the event will now be held at the much larger Grand Marché du MIN de Toulouse. This last-minute adjustment has resulted in a modification to the event’s duration: it will now last just two days (Friday and Saturday), instead of the three originally planned.
Changes to ticketing and on-sale times
In view of the massive demand and the change of venue, the organizing association has decided to exceptionally reopen the ticket office, which was initially fully booked. 1,000 new tickets are now on sale until November 7. To take part in Aligofest, you need to buy a ticket giving access to all-you-can-eat aligot-saucisse and a drink. The price is €25 for Friday November 14, and €35 for Saturday November 15, 2025. Those who had bought a pass for Sunday – which has now been cancelled – can now exchange it for admission on either Friday or Saturday, or opt for a refund.
We don’t know about you, but we’re already salivating!
