The oldest chocolate market in France, the Marché d’Artisans du Chocolat de Toulouse is back for its 30th edition. From Friday October 11 to Sunday October 13, 11 chocolate artisans will once again set up shop in the heart of the pink city, on Place Saint-Georges. On the program for this free event: tastings, discussions with the artisans, culinary workshops and many other surprises! Toulouse Secret tells you all about it.
A market of chocolate artisans bringing together the best in the field
“The Marché d’Artisans du Chocolat de Toulouse was the very first event devoted to chocolate in France,” recalls Jérémy Fages, President of the Association des Artisans du Marché du Chocolat, which initiated the event. “We want this event to be both gourmet and fun, for young and old alike. The region is full of passionate and talented chocolate artisans, who are proud of their craft and can’t wait to go out and meet the people of Toulouse and show them around!”.
This year, the Marché d’Artisans du Chocolat de Toulouse will take place on Friday 11th, Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th October 2024, on Place Saint-Georges. 11 of the best chocolate artisans in the region (and beyond!) will be present: Cacao Fages, Castan Chocolatier, De la fève au Palais, Barrelle, L’Atelier du Chocolat, Bello & Angeli, Maison Escarnot, La Compagnie du Chocolat, O Gourmandises d’Alice, Chocolaterie de Puyricard and Antoine Fornara.
Chocolate will be offered in all its forms: bars, bonbons, pralines, bouchées, ganaches, entremets, organic, iced… All these sweet treats will be accompanied by Shentéa’s delicious blends of teas and infusions.
An intensely chocolate-filled program of continuity and novelties
Throughout the weekend, chocolate artisans and their partners will be offeringfree culinary workshops (with or without reservation), as well as free tastings to discover chocolates with unique
aromas.
A question-and-answer game will be organized on Saturday and Sunday, with a tempting prize to be won each day: 1 year’s supply of chocolate! (In the form of vouchers to be spent at each of the artisans present).
