Free coffee in Toulouse: take part in Bring Your Mug Day
On September 19, 2025, Toulouse joins the national Bring Your Mug Day movement. This initiative invites you to bring your own reusable mug to one of the 319 participating coffee-shops in France, including several in Toulouse, to leave with a free coffee. The aim? To establish this simple reflex over the long term: say no to disposable cups and yes to reusable containers.
The first edition attracted 2,000 free coffees. This year, Bring Your Mug Day quadruples the number of participants, with 319 businesses taking part. Indeed, since 2021, the anti-waste law has obliged retailers to offer a discount to those who bring their own mug. On average, this discount is 30 centimes per drink. A daily coffee in a personal mug thus saves you more than €70 a year!
Reuse and coffee: an initiative that’s good for the wallet and good for the planet
This simple yet impactful gesture is a double victory for Toulouse. It’s easy to get involved: just pack your favorite container and visit one of the participating coffee-shops.
