The Salon Auto-Moto Classic was known for its rows of beautiful cars and its friendly atmosphere. In 2026, the Toulouse event is taking on a whole new dimension: a new hall, the return of an auction after a five-year hiatus, brand-new themed exhibitions, and an exceptional piece that has only been shown to the public once. Join us September 4–6 at the MEETT for what promises to be the most ambitious edition since the show’s inception.
A festival taking it to the next level
Last year, the show was already on the verge of being overwhelmed with 28,500 visitors, a 20% increase. To accommodate the demand, the organizers are opening a seventh exhibition hall: in total, 68,000 m² will host more than 2,500 vehicles and 260 exhibitors this time around, supported by some 60 clubs. No wonder 96% of visitors from the previous edition say they want to return!
Themed collections remain the heart of the show: Italian cars, Citroën’s racing heritage, hot rods, youngtimers, and Volkswagen Beetles and Combis. On the two-wheeler front, a spotlight on sports mopeds from 1960–1980 and a lineup of historic racing motorcycles will enrich an already extensive lineup.
Another major new feature: after five years without an auction at the show, the event is once again hosting one, organized by two Toulouse-based auction houses, Primardeco and Enchères VO. Sourced exclusively from private collections, the vehicles up for auction will span all eras, from pre-war models to “youngtimers.” Among the vehicles already confirmed: a Citroën Rosalie, a Mercedes 280 SL, a Jaguar XJ6, a Porsche 924, a BMW R100 GS, a Yamaha XT 500, and a Vespa 150 GL. Interested visitors can view the vehicles starting Friday at 2:00 p.m., before the auction itself, scheduled for Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
The show is also highlighting legendary routes: Route 66 is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, a milestone marked alongside Route Nationale 7, the quintessential French symbol of setting off on vacation. Three other anniversaries will feature prominently in the program: BMW’s 110th anniversary, the Beetle’s 80th anniversary, and the Dodge Charger’s 60th anniversary.
But the most anticipated car at the show will undoubtedly be outside the official exhibits: the AC Cobra that once belonged to Johnny Hallyday, which he used to drive through the streets of Los Angeles. Repatriated to France and kept ever since at a secret location, it still belongs to his family. The public has seen it only once since the singer’s passing.
American Day and activities: the weekend that brings the festival to life
On Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, the outdoor areas of the MEETT will take on an American vibe with American Day: more than 1,200 vehicles from all over France, an American village, a reenacted military camp, food trucks, and concerts. As for the guest appearances, several well-known figures among enthusiasts of classic cars will be in attendance: Gerry Blyenberg (Wheeler Dealers France), influencer Sandy GLT, Eddy Torres, and Alexandre Claudin with his Dodge Charger, who will participate in the awards ceremony for the most beautiful custom and original vehicles.
Also worth noting on Sunday morning: the arrival of the 16th Traversée Historique de Toulouse, organized by Méca-Cœur to benefit Restos du Cœur, with nearly 200 cars and motorcycles gathered for the occasion.
On Friday evening, music takes center stage from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., featuring a concert by the band Miss Dey & The Residents and a performance by dancers from the Toulouse-based TRAC dance school.
For families, the show also features driving simulators, radio-controlled racetracks, a parts swap meet, and an artists’ village—enough to keep young and old alike entertained over the three days!
