If you thought you’d already read all about it, think again! The famous Colomiers Comics Festival is back with a vengeance, blowing out its fortieth birthday with a much-anticipated 2025 edition. This major cultural event will take place throughout the town of Colomiers, just a stone’s throw from Toulouse. So block off the weekend of Friday November 21 to Sunday November 23, 2025. You’ll have the chance to meet over 150 passionate authors and 60 publishers. You’ll also be able to celebrate the richness of contemporary and independent comics at a wide range of events, including meetings and workshops.
The Colomier Comics Festival: a must-attend comic strip event
Forty years: a fitting way to celebrate! After so many years, the Colomiers Comics Festival has established itself as a leading event in the Occitanie region. From November 21 to 23, you’ll find the warm atmosphere and cutting-edge selection for which it’s famous. Indeed, this year’s program is as audacious as ever, and resolutely focused on creation. As usual, the event attracts internationally renowned artists, as well as the new guard of 9th Art.

With the aim of making the event accessible to all, admission remains modest, between 3 and 6 euros. What’s more, the town comes alive well beyond the stands. The festivities start at 2 p.m. on Friday and end at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Expect to wander between the stands of independent publishing houses and the aisles dedicated to emerging talent. These comic book authors will be waiting for you to sign their works. You can also admire the famous Promenades Dessinées. These monumental frescoes illuminate the walls of Colomiers. Celebrating their tenth anniversary this year, they deserve a special spotlight.
New comic book exhibitions and headliners
The 2025 edition focuses on singular and unmissable figures. Such is the case of Toulouse-based author Delphine Panique. The festival is devoting the very first retrospective exhibition of her career to her. Her original plates and rare sketches will be displayed in a striking scenography. She’ll be on hand for a live recording with the duo Camille & Justine. Don’t miss the “Explorer le monde” exhibition at the Pavillon blanc Henri-Molina. It brings together the rich universe of Hugues Micol and the poetry of Eva Offredo.
The program is also enriched by masterclasses and fascinating discussions. Names such as Lisa Hanawalt, Michael DeForge and Fanny Michaëlis have been announced. You’ll also have the chance to attend a number of drawing concerts, including Tularosa and Sopori FM. If you’re looking for inspiration for your weekend from November 21 to 23, this 40th anniversary edition is for you!
