Looking for a magical family getaway near Toulouse for the festive season? Well, we’ve got just the destination for you: Mauressac. It’s a small village in the Haute-Garonne region of France that has been transformed every December for several years now. Once again this year, the Association des Festivités is organizing an incredible “Enchanted Forest”. Twinkling lights, magical walks and entertainment… The event takes place from December 12 to 30, 2025, every evening from 6pm to 8pm. La Forêt Enchantée de Mauressac: the ideal location for a magical getaway near Toulouse
Imagine an enchanted interlude just a stone’s throw from the Ville Rose. Head for Mauressac, a small town south of Muret. This unsuspected – and perhaps unfamiliar – place is getting ready to host a magical event! Yes, it’s the place to be for those who love the magic of Christmas. Whether you’re with the family or a loved one, you’ll be able to enjoy a night-time stroll that appeals to young and old alike.
In previous years, the Forêt Enchantée de Mauressac offered strolls in the world of our favorite Disney characters (Mulan, Merlin the Enchanter etc.) or the Smurfs… What will the theme be in 2025? We’ll have to go there to find out. And it’s not just the forest that will be sparkling. The Association des Festivités will also be illuminating the village lagoon, creating an exceptional water mirror. But don’t forget to bring warm clothes!
The program and special evenings
In addition to the enchanted forest for which the event is famous, there are many other activities planned. Admission to the enchanted forest is €4, and free for children under 10. And on Saturdays December 13 and 20, and Sundays December 14 and 21, the festivities continue! The illuminations will run until 11 p.m., with a fireworks finale on December 13 and 20.
