What is “We Call It Flamenco”?
Watch as two dancers tell you all about Andalusia, step by step, to the words and stories of traditional songs. Their heels will echo on the rose-covered stage, and their clapping palms will set the rhythm to a Spanish guitar that will plunge you into Sevilla or Cádiz. All you have to do is sit back and let yourself be carried away by this unique show.
Flamenco, its palos and the show
Recognized by UNESCO as part of humanity’s intangible cultural heritage, flamenco comes directly from the south of Spain: Andalusia. And the reason it’s so rich is that there are over fifty different forms, called palos, each with its own history and region of origin. We Call It Flamenco introduces you to the 6 main ones, from the Cantiñas de Cádiz to the fast-paced Bulerías and the powerful Soleas.
