If you recognize a few spots in Toulouse when you go see “Ce qui nous mène à toi,” it’s not just your imagination! For a month, from January 19 to February 19, 2026, director Khalil Cherti set up his cameras in the “Pink City” and its surroundings to shoot his new feature film. The result: of the 25 days of filming, 24 took place in the Toulouse metropolitan area. That was enough to transform several locations well-known to locals into movie sets!
A film coming soon to theaters

Behind this title lies a 1-hour-36-minute drama that tells the story of Charlie and Hicham, two thirty-somethings in love facing a deeply personal challenge: their difficulty in having a child. For three years, the couple navigates the various stages of a medically assisted reproduction journey. The cast includes Nina Meurisse, Sofian Khammes, and Jeanne Balibar. Written by Khalil Cherti and Simon Serna, the film also won the Valois Award for Best Screenplay and the Valois Student Award at the Angoulême Francophone Film Festival.
And it’s no coincidence that the director chose Toulouse to bring this story to life: the city resonates with one of the couples who inspired the story. The film opens in theaters on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
From the Forum des Cordeliers to Lake Ramée, Toulouse takes center stage
You don’t have to look far to spot Toulouse on screen. Filming took place at several iconic locations throughout the city, including the Forum des Cordeliers, the Blagnac Stadium, the Halles Amouroux, Lake Ramée, the Garonnette, and the banks of the Garonne River.
But the crew didn’t stop at outdoor locations. For interior scenes, they notably used a private residence, the Toulouse Institute for Health Simulation (itSimS), and the offices of the radio station Ici Occitanie, which were transformed for the occasion to recreate various spaces related to the assisted reproductive technology (ART) process. The Purpan School of Medicine, located on Allées Jules Guesde, served as the setting for Eva’s office.

So many familiar places that should give Toulouse residents plenty of opportunities to play detective during the screening!
A film production supported by the metropolitan area and local talent
Beyond the visibility Toulouse gains on the big screen, this production also highlights the value of the film support programs established in the region. Of the 55 technicians involved in the shoot, 36 were from Occitanie, representing nearly 65% of the technical crew. The project also received 110,000 euros in funding from the Occitanie Region and 50,000 euros from the Toulouse Métropole Support Fund.
Established in 2019, the fund has an annual budget of 600,000 euros, allocated among short films (180,000 euros), feature films (200,000 euros), and audiovisual works (220,000 euros). In 2025, it supported 27 projects. In 2026, it ranked third among the eight national support funds.

To facilitate the arrival of film productions in the region, the Toulouse Métropole Film Commission, also known as Toulouse Team Filming, provides them with a comprehensive catalog of filming locations. Its online directory lists more than 200 locations, and its team offers free support to directors and producers at every stage: location scouting, permits, and shoot organization. Since 2025, it has also offered a guide dedicated to eco-friendly production.
