2024 marks the 20th anniversary of the death of Claude Nougaro, the singer so beloved by the people of Toulouse. Concerts, exhibitions and other events have punctuated the last few months to commemorate the artist. Magnanimously, we haven’t made you come all this way for nothing. Get out of the metro and get some fresh air. Head for the garden named in tribute to the Toulouse singer. Surrounded by trees, you can take a moment to reflect on the artist’s life and work.
See the new portrait of the poet at the end of rue Pargaminières
This is probably the most poignant place to pay tribute. At the corner of rue Pargaminières and rue Valade , you can admire a gigantic black-and-white portrait of the poet. Since March 2024, Place Saint-Pierre has been adorned with a new, sublime photo of Claude Nougaro. A must-see.
