The Food Film Festival, a gourmet event designed for cinephiles at Les Halles de la Cartoucherie
Les Halles de la Cartoucherie is set to vibrate to the rhythm of the Food Film Festival on June 8. Conceived by renowned local food critic Le Mangeur Masqué, the event promises an unprecedented experience: sample iconic dishes seen on screen, while enjoying a selection of films in which cuisine plays the starring role.
Three sessions will punctuate the day. You’ll start with a family matinee of “The Princess and the Frog” and its famous New Orleans beignets. Lunch will take you on a road-trip around the film “Chef”. On the menu: a dripping grilled cheese or a legendary Cubano sandwich. And finally, a delicate dinner with “La Saveur des rāmen” and its fragrant Bak Kut Teh broth.
Each dish will be offered in a vegetarian version, so that all gourmets can take part in this feast for the senses! Spectators, equipped with wireless headphones, will enjoy total immersion, between flavors and images.
Tickets are available online, and places are limited. So don’t miss this opportunity to experience cinema in a different way, fork in hand and taste buds on alert. An event to be savored with the eyes… and the belly!
