Attention cinema fans in Toulouse! Like every year, the Cinémathèque de Toulouse is launching its open-air film festival. For this 21st edition, as every summer, expect an eclectic program of some thirty films to delight all audiences. Animated films, comedies, seventh-art classics, science fiction… there’s something for everyone! From Friday, July 11 to Saturday, August 23, 2025, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the city under the stars. And don’t forget! This year, the open-air cinema is moving to a new location. We’ll tell you all about it.
Cinémathèque de Toulouse’s open-air cinema
Of course, there’s the pleasure of the cinema. But as temperatures rise and the days lengthen, there’s a certain pleasure to be had in an open-air cinema. The Cinémathèque de Toulouse, a pillar of the city’s cultural life, is proud to present the program for its 21st open-air festival, which runs from July 11 to August 23, 2025 .

The program offers a fine balance of classic films such as La Strada, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and On the Road to Madison. But also recent films such as Animal Kingdom, Perfect Days, Nope, Civil War and Bullet Train. As well as several family films, including Princess Mononoké, Back to the Future and Barbie, which promise to bring young and old together for convivial evenings under the stars.
A reminder! For its 21st edition, the Cinéma en plein air festival, usually organized by the Cinémathèque de Toulouse at 69 rue du Taur, is changing venue due to ongoing works. This year, screenings will take place in the courtyard of the Hôtel Saint-Jean – Drac Occitanie, at 32 rue de la Dalbade, right in the heart of Toulouse. Get your popcorn!
