Near Toulouse, IKEA is to launch a giant flea market – a unique event to benefit hospitalized patients.

We all have a RÖDFLIK lamp, a BILLY shelf and dozens of candles and other accessories with unpronounceable names in our homes. IKEA, the temple of low-cost decorating and furnishing, is getting ready to offer decor aficionados a giant flea market. The event will take place in the parking lot of its Roques store. For a good cause, revenues generated by the rental of the parking lot will be donated to Hôpital Sourire. See you on June 21, 2025 to find cheap furniture (cheaper than in stores). An IKEA flea market for solidarity just a stone’s throw from Toulouse

The festivities will take place in the parking lot of the IKEA store in Roques, near Toulouse, on Saturday June 21, 2025, just in time for the first day of summer (and the Fête de la Musique). From 9am to 5pm, you’ll be able to buy and sell furniture, clothes and even toys. As the Swedish leader explains, “you earn money and help your old products find a second life in a new home”.

A welcome circularity initiative, given that the ARTE documentary “IKEA, le seigneur des forêts“(IKEA, the lord of the forests) undermined the Swedish company’s not-so-green image. One of the company’s objectives is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030…

If you’d like to sell some items, you can rent a stand for €10. This sum will be donated to the Hôpital Sourire association in Toulouse. On-site, you’ll also find products from the IKEA second-life space and workshops to learn how to upcycle your furniture. So, are you ready to take part in the yard sale of the year?
