With an international reputation (over 500,000 visitors already) and after dazzling the Eglise du Gesú during its first successful edition, Genesis makes its grand return to the French stage. This neo-Gothic religious building (one of the largest in Toulouse) is the setting for a monumental sound and light show on the theme of the origins of the world.

For 30 minutes, visitors are immersed in a magical atmosphere worthy of a modern fairy tale. Soaring music, dreamlike animations and a poetic 7-part journey through the history of creation, via light, sky, water, nature, animals and people… This ultra-modernized narrative is simply captivating!
The hypnotic effect of the show is made possible by an ultra-sharp projection technique. Genesis brings together the ancient, the modern, the spiritual and the artistic through the prism of Genesis and the beginning. All this under the 23-metre-high vaulted ceiling of the Gesú church, with light filtering through the stained-glass windows. The result: pure lace in a unique architectural setting.

To create this tailor-made 360° show, the designers scanned the entire structure of the building’s interior. In this way, the lighting creations were perfectly adapted to the site. Several ultra-precise, high-performance laser projectors cover all shapes, from walls to ceilings, giving the space a new dimension.
The expertise of PROJEKTIL, an internationally successful Zurich-based artist collective and co-producer of the event, makes it all possible. A multi-disciplinary team including visual artists, musicians, programmers, technologists and designers has conceived this innovative show at the crossroads of art, technology and spirituality, allowing us to appropriate a major work of Toulouse’s heritage in an innovative way.
