Founded more than three decades ago, the Toulouse Artisan Chocolate Market is the oldest chocolate market in France. For its 32nd edition, it returns to Place Saint-Georges from Friday, October 9, through Sunday, October 11, featuring twelve artisan chocolatiers and several regional and international producers gathered outdoors, with no admission fee.
On the menu: chocolate bars, candies, pralines, ganaches, ice cream, and cookies from CacaoFages, Castan Chocolatier, De la fève au Palais, Barrelle, L’Atelier du Chocolat, Bello & Angeli, Maison Escarnot, La Compagnie du Chocolat, Ô Gourmandises d’Alice, and many more. Acapella, the Roussillon-based coffee roaster; honeys from Frères Sarniguet; and Sun & Green products from Madagascar (rum, vanilla, spices) will also be featured.
“The Chocolate Market is much more than an annual event: it’s a true Toulouse tradition,” says Barbara Chapotier, president of the Toulouse Artisan Chocolate Market Association.
A weekend of free workshops, hour by hour

Saturday, October 10 (10:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) features most of the hands-on workshops: Halloween-themed chocolate creations with Castan Chocolatier, wine and cocoa pairings by Ô Gourmandises d’Alice, chocolate painting led by Jérémy Fages (CacaoFages), coated marshmallows with Barrelle, and an introduction to bean-to-bar chocolate making by De la fève au Palais.
On Sunday, October 11 (10 a.m.–6 p.m.), you can enjoy a chocolate carving demonstration by Bello & Angeli, a tea-and-chocolate pairing workshop featuring Line Choc and Acapella, and the secrets of the “Feuillant d’Or” revealed by L’Atelier du Chocolat de Bayonne to wrap up the weekend.
On Saturday and Sunday, a quiz offers the chance to win a year’s supply of chocolate in the form of 13 gift certificates to be redeemed at any of the participating artisans. The market is also renewing its partnership with the Hôpital Sourire association, which supports hospitalized children: a donation of 750 euros will be made to the association at the end of the event, and the association will run its own booth on Friday.
The Toulouse Artisan Chocolate Market takes place at Place Saint-Georges on Friday, October 9 (11 a.m.–7 p.m.), Saturday, October 10 (10 a.m.–7:30 p.m.), and Sunday, October 11 (10 a.m.–6 p.m.). Free admission. For more information, visit the official Instagram account.
