The festival season is upon us. After Rio Loco, it’s time for another not-to-be-missed event in the pink city. On July 3 and 4, 2025, the Convivencia festival barge will dock on the banks of the Canal du Midi at the Port de l’Embouchure in Toulouse. We tell you more about this not-to-be-missed musical event this summer.
The return of the Convivencia festival barge to Toulouse
Have you heard of the Convivencia festival? It’s said to be the slowest festival in the world. As usual, the 30-meter-long barge Tourmente will sail at a speed of 5 km/h over a distance of 400 km in the Occitanie region. Her journey begins on June 29 and ends on July 23. For 3 weeks, the barge will moor in 12 towns and villages.
On July 3 and 4, 2025, it’s at the Port de l’Embouchure that the people of Toulouse will be able to enjoy this extraordinary festival. Facing the Canal du Midi, the barge’s deck will be transformed into a floating stage. It will host concerts by Aziz Konkrite feat. Walid Rakik and Roshâni on July 3, and Fleuves and Christine Salem Rényon the following day.
And as the festive spirit doesn’t stop there, the banks of the Canal du Midi will be set up in a guinguette spirit, with local food and drink. More than just concerts, you’ll discover a warm and friendly atmosphere, with music that’s sure to delight your ears. And we’ve saved the best for last: this festival is free of charge and no reservations are required. Discover the full program here. Another great thing to do in Toulouse in July. See you there!
