In 2025, France will be hosting its 42nd European Heritage Days. Toulousans will be able to (re)discover their city and its emblematic buildings, which will be open to the public free of charge. Here’s the program for the Journées du Patrimoine in Toulouse , a weekend dedicated to culture.
An overview of the program for the Journées du Patrimoine 2025 in Toulouse
On September 20 and 21, the pink city will be celebrating. For 2 days, Toulouse will be the scene of the European Heritage Days. In 2025, the theme is “Architectural Heritage“. An opportunity to highlight the artistic and technical achievements of local architecture. Concerts, workshops and free tours of exceptionally open sites await you! Don’t miss a moment of the program to find out about all the events that await you.
During these Heritage Days, millions of visitors are expected to discover and question the practices and know-how of those involved in heritage (public and private historic monuments, archaeological sites, museums, archives, intangible cultural heritage…). Notable free events include a classical music concert at the Hôtel des Chevaliers de Saint-Jean de Jérusalem – DRAC Occitanie. A presentation of the Black Madonna’s robes and clothing at the Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-Daurade. Or a guided tour of the archaeological crypt of the former Saint-Pierre-des-Cuisines church. An annual event not to be missed!

Toulouse’s municipal greenhouses will also be opening their doors for the occasion, revealing over 330,000 plants, including the famous century-old wisteria that adorns a metal structure listed as a Monument Historique. On the program: free or guided tours, meetings with enthusiastic municipal staff, gardening activities and cuttings to extend the botanical experience at home – all free of charge!
