Festival program
To celebrate this unique music, “Jazz sur son 31” invites artists from all over the world to Haute-Garonne. Among them are international artists and headliners such as American saxophonist Ken Vandermark, a benchmark of contemporary jazz, and Electro Deluxe Big Band, an essential group mixing jazz, soul, funk and hip-hop, scheduled for a major evening at the Halle aux Grains. On the local and national scene, Naïma Quartet, a Franco-Toulousian group, performs at Le Taquin. Nicolas Gardel 4tet, with Afro-Caribbean and flamenco influences, is scheduled for Tournefeuille.
Highlights of the program include 26 bands from the Haute-Garonne region, demonstrating the strong presence of the local scene. The emphasis will be on a diversity of styles: jazz, soul, world music, funk, flamenco and hip-hop… How’s that for jazz?
