A popular destination for winter and February vacations, the Pyrenees are packed with ski resorts not far from Toulouse. Snowboarding, cross-country skiing, tobogganing… So many winter sports available from the end of November. So digest your raclette and hit the slopes!

Porté-Puymorens, Formiguères and Cambres d’Aze
These resorts close to Andorra are a delight for powder lovers. The closest ski resort to us is Porté-Puymorens, just a 2-hour drive from Toulouse. Here are their opening dates:
- Porté-Puymorens (Pyrénées-Orientales) – from December 13, 2025 to April 5, 2026
- Formiguères (Pyrénées-Orientales) – from December 13, 2025 to March 22, 2026
- Cambres d’Aze (Pyrénées-Orientales) – from December 19, 2025 to March 22, 2026

Baqueira-Beret
Considered the largest ski area in the Pyrenees, Baqueira-Beret (Val d’Aran) is just a 2.5-hour drive from Toulouse. From November 29, 2025 to April 6, 2026 , you can enjoy a total of 130 km of slopes!

Grandvalira
Nestled between France and Spain, in Andorra to be precise, Grandvalira is the largest ski area in the Pyrenees. Enjoy 210 km of slopes just 2 hours 20 minutes by car from Toulouse! The resort is open from December 5, 2025 to April 6, 2026.

Superbagnères and the Mourtis resort
Still 2h20 from Toulouse, the Superbagnères resort is located near Luchon (Haute-Garonne). Smaller than the two above-mentioned ski resorts, it’s still worth the trip, and will be open between December 5, 2025 and March 29, 2026. Closer to Luchon, the Mourtis resort is just under 2 hours from the Pink City and will be open from December 5, 2025 to March 8, 2026.

Peyragudes, Saint-Lary and Ax 3 Domaines
These ski resorts in Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées and Ariège, respectively, offer you the joys of winter sports! Their opening dates :
- Ax 3 Domaines (Ariège ): from December 5, 2025 to March 19, 2026
- Saint-Lary (Hautes-Pyrénées): December 5, 2025 to April 5 or 6, 2026
- Peyragudes (Hautes-Pyrénées): December 6, 2025 to March 29, 2026

Bourg-d’Oueil, a family resort in Haute-Garonne, specific dates for the 2025-2026 season have not yet been published.

Cauterets (Hautes-Pyrénées)

Cauterets is reputed to be one of the snowiest resorts in the Pyrenees, offering two ambiences: the Cirque du Lys for downhill skiing and the Pont d’Espagne for Nordic skiing, all set in a spa village with Belle Époque architecture. Provisional opening dates for the 2025-2026 season: December 5, 2025 to April 19, 2026.
