2. Let your eyes shine at the Nuit des Étoiles event in Toulouse – August 9, 10 and 11, 2024
The Nuit des Étoiles festival returns to Toulouse on August 9, 10 and 11, 2024 to amaze young and old alike. This event offers the chance to admire shooting stars and planets while exploring the mysteries of the universe. Organized by the Société d’Astronomie Populaire at the Jolimont observatory, the evening begins at 9pm with a guided tour of the domes, followed by a lecture and guided sky observation. The Cinémathèque de Toulouse invites you to its open-air film festival. 4. Brave the high temperatures (when they come) with the Toulouse Plages festival – until August 25, 2024
Let the Parisians have their Paris Plages. We, the people of Toulouse, are not to be outdone with our Toulouse Plages. Like every summer, this free festival returns to the Prairie des Filtres with a host of refreshing activities and entertainment. This year’s program includes pétanque, beach volleyball, dance evenings, an aqualudic structure and an area dedicated to toddlers. New features for 2024 include an Olympic and Paralympic area, a giant zip line and trampolines. However, swimming in the Garonne remains prohibited this summer!
5. Day and night fun with the Hall Summer Long festival at the Halle de la Cartoucherie – until August 31
This summer, the Halle de la Machine becomes the Halle de la Musique, hosting numerous free outdoor concerts showcasing regional talent. Following the success of last summer’s Halle Night Long operation, the Halle de la Machine team launches a new season of summer and musical festivities. Get ready to enjoy open-air concerts and tours featuring rock, soul, electro, pop, funk, hip-hop, Balkan music, post-punk and a brass band, all from the regional Occitanie scene.
