It’s like a vacation in Toulouse! Sandy beaches, free activities and a seaside atmosphere are the order of the day this summer on the banks of the Garonne. From July 21 to August 24, 2025, Toulouse Plages promises a break for those who can’t get away from the pink city. If you can’t go to the beach, the beach comes to you! Get out the sunglasses and sun cream.
Prairie des Filtres: the beating heart of Toulouse Plages
Head for the Prairie des Filtres, where the heart of the Toulouse Plages action takes place. Free sand, deckchairs and parasols set the scene! Here, the word “farniente” takes on its full meaning, just a stone’s throw from the Capitole. Between two sunbathing sessions, why not indulge yourself in the aqualudic zone, with its water jets and inflatable games. There are even sandboxes to keep the little ones occupied.

Swap reading on a towel for a game of beach volleyball or table tennis, or try your hand at the brand-new climbing and mini-block course, accessible from the age of 6. For sports enthusiasts, 2025 also means urban sports: 3×3 basketball, teqball, slackline and even rowing on the Garonne. The really good news? All these activities are free, accessible to all ages and levels, and even adapted for people with disabilities thanks to the “Villes pour tous” label.
As a family, keep your little ones entertained with the ludoplage (games on loan and biblioplage in the shade of the plane trees). And gourmets will be in for a treat with the Racines guinguette. No need to leave Toulouse, this year our summer will be urban.
Port Viguerie, La Ramée: festive relaxation and water sports activities
Need to get away from it all? Head for the Port Viguerie, where a Ferris wheel, a festive guinguette and electric boat hire (no license required) await you to discover Toulouse in a different way. You won’t want to leave without a drink on the terrace overlooking the Garonne under a string of lights, or without enjoying a unique 360° panorama from the famous wheel.
Just a few pedal strokes away, La Ramée beach and the Reynerie nautical base invite you to supervised swimming, kayaking, sailing and even open-air evenings: concerts, open-air cinema, creative workshops under the trees… So many opportunities to enjoy Toulouse Plages without fear of boredom. All the activities have one thing in common: they’re free, accessible for the whole family, and the pleasure of an urban summer.
