While we wait for the new starred restaurants (which this year will be unveiled on March 31, 2025), the Bib Gourmand ranking is probably one of the culinary news items we’ve been looking forward to the most. Published at the beginning of March, we were delighted to discover that not one, but four Toulouse restaurants had been selected! This is the latest addition to the list of inexpensive restaurants recommended by the Michelin Guide. We tell you more about this restaurant offering menus for under €30.
But first, what’s a Bib Gourmand?
A Bib Gourmand is a distinction awarded every year by the Michelin Guide. It’s awarded to restaurants offering bistronomic cuisine that favors fresh, local produce. Another condition is that these gourmet addresses must have a bill that does not exceed 40 euros.
This year, the Michelin Guide awarded 56 Bib Gourmand to restaurants in all regions of France. Behind Brittany (10 restaurants) and Nouvelle Aquitaine ( 9 restaurants), Occitanie is one of the most awarded regions, with 6 restaurateurs rewarded. Click here for the full list.
