Along with the Blagnac Christmas market, it’s probably one of the most spectacular events in the Occitanie region! The village’s grandiose facilities promise a magical atmosphere, and they’re just a two-hour drive from Toulouse. So get in the car for an immediate plunge into the spirit of the festive season.
The Barcarès Christmas village: a magical getaway and easy access from Toulouse
Dreaming of an escape worthy of a Christmas TV movie? The Barcarès Christmas Village is back again this year, with its illuminated decorations and winter attractions. The now famous Ferris wheel, the enchanted forest and an ice museum await you for a magical moment.

To get there from the Ville Rose, you’re spoilt for choice. The quickest way is by car – an excellent option for a family weekend. It takes around 2 hours via the A61 and A9 motorways. By train, on the other hand, you’ll reach Perpignan in 2 hours 20 minutes. Then take a shuttle or cab.
Visitor numbers are often exceptional, especially during the school vacations. Some days have seen over 38,000 visitors, so it’s best to plan ahead! And don’t forget to check ticket prices. Admission costs €5 online (€7 on site) for adults, and children under 5 enter free of charge.
A rich program of Christmas entertainment
Le Barcarès Christmas Village is more than just a Christmas market. Above all, it’s a veritable ephemeral amusement park, with a particularly rich 2025-2026 program! Skating fans can strap on their skates and enjoy themselves on the large ice rink. Meanwhile, the little ones can enjoy themselves in complete safety on the animal rink. Then it’s off to Santa’s House, where you can meet the star of winter, and where children can write a letter to be sent to the North Pole.

The virtual sleighs offer an immersive journey perfect for thrill-seekers. And don’t miss the Enchanted Forest with its maze, transparent bubbles and snow-covered fir trees. There are plenty of other rides for young and old alike. You can also stroll between the gourmet and designer chalets. Perfect for taking a break and stocking up on sweets and gifts. In short, everything you need for a memorable family day out.
