Have you decided to forgo a ski vacation this winter? No problem, if you’re not going to the mountains, the mountains are coming to you. Bruguières is just under 30 minutes’ drive from Toulouse. In this charming commune of Haute-Garonne, you can rent a mountain chalet and spend original evenings eating raclette and fondue with friends and family. We tell you more about this unmissable cold-weather treat.
Spend an unusual evening in a mountain chalet near Toulouse
When it comes to Christmas, original concepts flourish to make your festivities out of the ordinary. Heated igloos and curling at the Friche Gourmande in Toulouse, vintage Olympic gondolas and thousands of illuminations at the Restaurant du Cloître in Moissac… Now it’s the turn of the commune of Bruguières to offer you an unusual concept.

Head for Le Galichon on the mountain side. These evenings await you in the chalet next to the restaurant, which opened in 2018. Surrounded by artificial snow and with a rustic wooden decor worthy of Haute-Savoie, this mountain chalet can accommodate up to 14 people. On the menu: raclette, of course, but also Savoyard and Burgundy fondue, mulled wine and a chocolate fountain.
Open since November 1, 2025, this warming venue can be privatized for a minimum of 6 people. It’s therefore preferable to cater for groups, such as birthday parties. Let’s put on our après-skis and baggy pants and meet up?
